Magdalena Schwarzl studied computer science, first at the University of Vienna specializing in "Scientific Computing" (bachelor) and then at the University of Utah, USA specializing in "Data Visualization and Computer Graphics" (master). From January to December 2019 she worked as a doctoral researcher in Prof. Dr. Michael Sedlmair's lab group at the Visualization Research Center of the University of Stuttgart (VISUS). Her dissertation topic concerned visualization in augmented and virtual reality. Sadly, Magdalena passed away on June 22nd 2022 after a long-lasting sickness.
