Dr. Tanja Blascheck

Tanja Blascheck is a Margarete-von-Wrangell Fellow and works at the Institute for Visualization and Interactive Systems at the University of Stuttgart. She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in 2017. She was a PostDoc at Aviz, INRIA, France, and during a research stay visited the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
Her main research areas are information visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction, and mixed reality. She focuses on evaluation, perception, and development of novel hardware especially in the context of wearable and mobile devices such as smartwatches, fitness bands, smartrings, and augmented reality headsets.
